Ding Ding! End of Round 1

So, It all started when I posted a message about my Church, I said we were going to be on BBC1 songs of praise, Said people may want to join in. Little did I realise that it would spark a massive .... Cant think of a massinve so a massive something...
Anyway, an old school friend starts by saying he did not want to watch and had rather stick a needle in his eyes, a bit OTT if you ask me but Songs of praise has not always been very popular with the un-churched youth of today. I would even be with those that say i do think it appeals to me. But I t must appeal to someone as there are an estimated 3million viewers of the program each week.a But I know that this meeting would not be the normal boring style.(it was good - if you missed it you a have until Sunday 11th to watch on BBc i Player (or u tube after that))Then my older sister starts to say she thinks that he is talking silly, and it goes back a forth. each having a little digg, trying to put there point accross to the other.
the topic soon changes from boring songs of praise to does God real, whey does he punish people, why does he not care, why did he send the flood.... and so on......below is a copy of my reply to them both, hoping that maybe we can et somewhere with a resolution befor the is a KO!

Ding Ding! end of round 1..... ok guys. its been interesting reading both your opinions in the feed. I understand how i an appear that God is doing nothing about the starving peope in the 3rd world, and when some christians can thin that evolution is not true and just some ballone made up by scientist. I understand why some non christians may want to fight a corner for the evolution 'facts'. what I cant understand is wh we cant all get along, why there is such a devide between science and God, between Faith and Fact. SO if we take it right back to the beginning - lets assume that the christians bible is correct, stuff was not here, then god spoke. when god spoke things appeared, the whole worls and universe..... and so on. I kinda thinks that God created sound too, so if God created sound then is it like that when he created this masive earth that there was a bit of a BANG - there the big bang. SO the evolution thing. if we do not believe in evoultion ten how can we explain some of the every day mirricials that happen all over the world, Babies. uman and animals, Plants and all other things. Basic biology. 2 poeple man and oman have sex (or a scientist does it in a test tube!) the womans egg goes on a date with the mans sperm, they hit it off, fall in love..... he fertilizes her, 2different things come together. then 'evolve' into soe little blob, embrio, fetus, baby, toddler and so on. before the baby is born it is not breathing, its living in a sack of fluid, then he it pops out it has to take its first breath it has then evolved. so I a christian can believe in God the Creator o all things who has made all things evolve..... let us live more in harmony with each other. and to clarify some bits - the Apple may not have been an apple - it is said to be a fruit, both the flood and the arden of eden are based in the old testiment - before Jesus comes to walk on the earth, the law is changed, a new law is given. God says after the flood, never again will I flood the whole earth..... Christians believe that God gave us all a choie of free will. this means that we choose to do things, good or bad, right or rong. help others or look out for ourselves. believe in him or not. If we do not do the things of God will then there wil be consequence's.God has answered the prayers of the starving poepl ein the 3rd wold, he has given them the rich, educated 1st world poeple. we have been given all that we need to help theose need, we have just failed to see what we are to do, we think God is going to pop down from heaven and give a big plate of chips and beans to the little children. No we are the answer to their prayers. We are to give of out time, talents and treasure to help others. we are to think of our selves less, and thinks more about others. care for thoses around us, if we were all to open our etes and see the need of our neigoubers and help them we would find that larger issues would becvome lees intimerdating..... I realise I have gone on a bit here. I am gunna keep ritiing but over on my blog. if you wanna read on tune in at tim.redteeps.co.uk Thanks

.....so, do I have anything else to say, Yes I suppose I do.

Some plans

ok, so its been a while… all my posts seem to start this way! Ill have to aim to change this.

Soooo, first off, not much has changed, but I hope to make some significant changes over the next few years. one of the first things will be to get fitter, yes, I need to do more exercise.  currently I bike to work, Jackie says its about 8 miles, each way…. ok, let me get my breath back… it takes about 30min, but that all good. The next things to better my fitness is to start running, not just  for fun, but for a BIG run, a mammoth run, a marathon. the London marathon.  I have asked water aid if I can run for them, waiting to hear back.  If I can run this April, then 2011.

The other things I will be doing is putting together some plans for Africa, well for Jackie and I to get back out there.  here we should go, who we should go with….. and the rest of the stuff involved.

more on that when I have it….

ok, some other thing I have been planning for is a mobile phone upgrade.I really like the iPhone, just don’t like that there are more iphones out there than wasps at a British BBQ (grrrr).so what phone have i chosen…. drum roll…. a phone not availble in the UK. yet. I dont want to give to much away as you may all go out and get it!

ok, ok, its a phone called MODU. its well nice.

see you all son.

I live at the end of the Street with the Big green bush outside

Hi, well, what a jam packed few weeks I have had, and I think its going to get more mad!  So what have I been upto?
Well A few months ago I started a new Job, I am now working as a IT Tech at Hampton College, I also do a bit of Media witht he students, cool. job is going well, I am really excited about what God is going to do through me, how I can impact the Students and staff. I am learning new things about myself and its great.
I am ful on with PA for Church still and am getting ready for the BBC live event. oh you may not realise we are hosting a Live BBC 1 broadcast.  Sunday 31 May at 10am our church will be live on BBC1, how cule. we are also recording other shows for later airing. this I thnk will be an amazing opportunity for loads of folk in there homes to experience Church.  The BBC tell us there are likly to be 1million viewers, I think it will be great if we could ll tune in to watch making it at least 2 million.  Wouldent it be great if this could be the start of a changing nation. come on!

So what is this title about, well, Jackie and I love hosting friends and family, we really like to have guys over for dinna and to hag out. so to give directions we tell our friends that we live at the end of the street with the Big green bush out side. a few weeks ago I got rid of the bush, why? well it was planted over the main drains, I didnt really want them to damage the drains and have loads of waste spilling out!!! so how do we now give directions? I dont know. Will have to see when we invite you over.
well, You may now notice a new addition to my page, its a twitter update, umm I have finally cracked and joined up to twitter, how nice. loads of guys I know are on there.
so addictive!
well thats it for now, But i hope to be back soon.,
see ya.

oh, do let me know what you thinkn of the Live TV in 2 weeks.
