Guess whos back!

Hi, I cant believe how the time has passed since my last post.  Well Lots has happened since then and I suppose part of these things have been reason or part for my not posting.
I did say in one of my first posts that this is here as a way for you to keep up to date with all that is happening in the lives of my family and I.  I think some of you have some catching up to do.

I think one of the biggest of things which has happened early on in the Summer is my promotion to Engineering Manager, Quite nice, comes with a few extra perks, and of course more responsibility.  This however is not and should not be the biggest, its just up there with the big bits!
The biggest and most challenging has to be Jackie health.  We have had a number scares if you like.  Jackie has had a number of moments in Hospital, some short visits and other a bit longer, I thought I was going to start paying rent and choosing the next colour to paint the room she had on the ward it was that long! I say these yhings in jest to hlp me get by.
So what was wrong? Jackie has had abdominal pains and issues for a few years now, and about 2 months ago spent 4 weeks in and out of hospital with ovarian Cysts. This of course can by teamed with some fears over fertility and reduced chance of conceiving.
well, after some emergency surgery Jackie had the cysts removed.  Jackie has just had her report back form the hospital saying she has another cyst, but we are believing that God will intervene and give Jackie a full bill of health.

So how have I coped? I thinks it has been hard but I have a number of close friends who have supported us both at all times.  Friends form the Church and family too, they have all played there parts and we are truly thankful for there support, without them I'm not sure how I would have managed.

Anyway, Life has to move on, and I have been reminded more and more lately (with Jackie's health) and Friends and Family moving away, or planning to that some times we can lose sight of the things in life that matter.  we never know when some one may be taken from us or us from them.
we have a friend who has gone back home to South Africa recently to see family.  On my birthday she facbooked me a message, and she was a Little emotional in her text saying that she misses us and wished she had spent more time with us when she was here.  this is what got me thinking more.  we need to spend time with friends and Family. I need to spend more time with friend and family.

I am not a big football fan, to be honest I am not a football fan at all! a=however I am now a fan of spending time with Friends and family more than before.   My Brother a big fan or Arsenal invited me to one of there home games later in the ear, I jumped at the chance, I rally get to spend time with my brother, yes I see him and the family but not just him.  I instantly thought of one of my closest friends Mark, a good guy! he too is an arsenal fan, I invited him along to the game.  so the 3 of us are going out for the game, it will be great. one of the first steps to spending time with the ones I love.
I thinks we are all always busy, with Work, General stuff to do ( shopping for food, Cleaning the house, Sleeping and all that jazz!) ohhh eating... that we sometimes fail to spend time with our loved ones.  Some of us who also volunteer for certain charities over our paid jobs find less time for fun!  I, without burning my self out want to give as much time to friends and family, This morning the TV would normally be on, why? I don't know, just to be on! a wast of time. (well Saturday Kitchen is not a wast as its teaches me some great new stuff to cook for you when you come over for dinner!) But you get what I am saying.

so after my rambling on, some I hope makes sense and other bits I'm sure will not, whats next?
No not Christmas, its a shower, I need to have a Nice long shower, ohhh that will be nice.

OK I'm am off for now but I hope to be back soon.  and I will really try to get another one in sooner than the last!
take care all.
see you some time
Tim

Well, I have thought about it... now I am really doing it...!

So I am just taking a little break... umm I suppose I am not taking a break but am, in a strange kinda way.

I have decided to start writing my book, I say mine but it will be yours if you buy it!!!please do.

oh I realise that I would have to get it published too, oh dear loads of new things I will experience.

SO what have you all been up to? I have been doing loads at work and just at much at with Church for Easter, it is great, I would not want it a different way.

how many of you were at the meeting this morning with Rachel Hickson?  I know there were hundreds of us... wasn't it fantastic, she always is.  I love her, she is great, brings us such a great word at the time we need it. for me personally I thought that the word was aim at me, Brill.  Rachel was talking about open and closed doors and how we are effected by these.

I felt the Lord really working in the meeting today and that many people will be looking at doors in the next few days and knowing how to deal with them. do we push them, or turn to another door?

Well I know that I may be looking at a closed door at the moment and am just waiting for the other door to open.  Will tell more when God does open it.

well, it is late and I do need to go to bed soon so will leave this hear for now and hope to be back in the next few days.

nite.

I feel like a Man!

So what is it that makes a man a man?  is it a hairy Chest, A sporty Car, a six pack (of anything, beer or muscle)?  Well I think I have just found out! keep reading it is clean I promise, well...

Jackie and I decided that we should come out of renting, why rent when we could pay about the same but to have our own house!  well we managed to get our feet on the big old ladder ( this is not part of the Manly thing just its building up to it!, however you will see a ladder involved later).  WE were blessed with a real nice house in a not so nice area, the house needed no work, it was a case of move in and then move out again...

...so let me explain,  we loved the house, but it was not totally rite, however we were there for 18 months.  some of you may have read some of the post about the pains of getting our new house, well the pains have continued, but in a good way, a way that make me a man!

so when we moved in - um October 26 2007, got the keys about 11 AM, how nice.

The house is so different, it a semi, 3 bed at the end of a street, nice neighbours and massive garden (this is what I like, and it looks good already, even better). it even has a drive, wow, never had one of them b4, and our own garage, how cule. The house was built in the 60's, so older than my biggest tree fern, that old!  But with an old house comes old thing, old walls, floors, ceilings and Roofs and fences! - this is what brings me to start getting to talking about feeling like a man!

so the last few months we have had loads of rain, this has decided to make a more personal visit to us by way of breaking into our downstairs bathroom, we had a ...leak, oh no.  ok, so I think I can do this, I can fix it. not a problem, well it is a problem as I have never done it b4.

ok, so here goes, I decide to take down the ceiling, oh what a mess! next I have to climb the ladder ( not the same as I put my foot on b4 but a real metal one that reaches to the roof!)Gulp. its too high, even though its only a flat roof on the ground floor! so I get up on the roof and start to clear off the muck that was on it. yuck. so then head off to the DIY store and get some roof sealer, agghhh, what is that I hear you say, well I heard myself saying that loads as I paced up and down the isles looking for that stuff for the roof.  well I found the roof department, found some stuff in a Massive tin, it was heavy, cost loads but looked good!  I got a few other bits and bobs, went home and ... back track a min.. I paid for all the stuff!.. let now carry on... Went home, took all the gear inside where I then sat down and had a cup of tea after my ordeal!

This was the end of the day, it got dark, I went to bed, I was tired!

Next day was a big one ( you may remember me saying at the beginning that I promise that this is not dirty, well this is a little!)SO I go out and up on the roof again, now the roof is clear of all its dirt, I open this tin and try and brush on the stuff to the roof, its sooooo thick, I struggle, but persevere, it gets dark, I carry on. Finally I get all the roof covered, yes, and I managed in the process to get all of me covered too! oh well, I managed to do what I set out to do.

Next morning I gaze out the window to see my handy work - the work that is dirty and makes me feel like a man! and see that the rain from last nigh was sat on top and not coming in... yeahhh great, so pleased.

So I now have fixed my roof, great, All that is left for me to do is put up a new ceiling! ummm, I will get that done, umm well some time!

speak again soon.

Take care

ok, here goes

ok, so Jackie and I arrived home, we needed some more food.  we had run out of milk and bread, what are we going to to or lunch 2moro!!!!1 never fear, because on Saturday afternoon we went online and did our shopping, from Tesco. it is great, we sit there   our PJ's in the warm and clicks a few times, then a few days later a nice man comes to the door with loads of food and shampoo. how great is that.

We have bought loads of stuff on line b4 from places like Amazon and Ebay, and loads of other places, so we are not entirely new to this, but this was different.  when you buy something from amazon you all excited as its a new DVD or a game you have bought, the waiting is all part of the fun ( well sometimes its not so I pay a little extra for next day!) but with the weekly shop its so boring, its a drive away to get to the shop, its about 300 miles to walk around the massive store, But when you can site at home, with the heating on cause its cold out side, with a cup of tea, in your pj's and do the weekly shop, there has to be something good going on!!!

We have also just tried to order some fresh fruit from River Nene Organic, these will be coming 2moro.  I have to say I was really impressed with Tesco and would tell other of it, oh, I am telling others of it.  if you do shop at tesco and have access to the inte.... oh of course you have access tot he Internet or you would not be reading this!!!...oh, I suppose a friend could have printed this of and given it to you on paper.... well if that is the case and you do not have the Internet then you will not be able to order you food on line, sorry, but that's not my rules its just the way it is. anyway if you do have the inter net then feel free to order some stuff on line, Im sure the shops will love you for it!!!

before you say anything I am not getting any commision from this, I am just a happy customer.

Well in other news Jackie and I went to London on Sunday, we had a great time, met up with some friends and had a great meal at the steak house, ummm, steak.

part of the trip was to visit a church in London, the Church is called Hillsong London, I can say I was WOWd by it, the sound, Lights and visually aspects were all fantastic, one of the opening projected images said welcome home' however, one thing which both Jackie and I felt was that we were not at home, so for all you guys at KingsGate, we really missed you and will be back with you on Sunday, hope to see you there.

Do say Hi if you read this.
