2 in 1 day – how lucky are you!!!

Jackie was –well is at the time of writing this – watching a programme on TV, 'the man who lost himself', a documentary about a man who was in a car accident and lost his memory. This aside – One of the girls (his daughters) was interviewed and said – 'he was the best dad in the world, he would let us get away with murder' – ok, no it's not ok. I have heard so many young people say things like this, she was great, she never told us off... he was a great instructor, he always let us do what we wanted...

This really frustrates me – on one hand they are saying this person is great yet on the other they are saying that this person did not discipline when maybe they should have, that they did not encourage good but supported bad, or that they didn't stand out from the crowed but were in the middle of the scruffs. Now I understand that there is an amount of letting young people or people under your care, leadership or discipleship learn, however we would never get anywhere in our lives or this world if we were not to learn from other peoples mistakes and make them ourselves. We would simply go round and round in circles.

Well, I am now off to study some more, will let you know when the next exam is.

Cy again soon.

Where have I been?

It's been too long. Where have I been! To be honest I not been anywhere...well I have been on a boat – that was ages ago but I'll tell you all about it.

Jackie and I hired a narrow boat out for a few days – it was fantastic. With our normally busy life it was a great change in pace, a nice break and time away from the norm.

Well that was ages ago! Like over a month! I have been really slack. Hey I back now though. So what's been happening with you all? I'm sure I will catch up with some of you. Anyway, work is going really well, we have just increased our staff by 1; we 4 boys now have to behave ourselves as we have lady working with us. I can say it has been great since she started –she has really taken the pressure off us and we are able to do so much more. How great.

Well what else is happening!!! Loads – you may remember that we are selling our house –well it is now sold STC BLA Bla Bla....we are doing contracts and stuff. We have also found a house we are buying, it's really nice. Looking forward to some sort of house warming! Will keep you up to date.

(not tortoise but close enough!!)

So has there been anything else happening?? Not really, but I can say that we have new member of the family soon to be with us... before you all start talking it's not of the human kind! We are getting ourselves another pet – or 3!! We currently have a tortoise which has been really nice, so we are now waiting on our new family members – will get some pics as soon as they arrive so you can all go arrrrhhhhh.....

Oh, the names of my 2 are Frankie and Kermit, Jackie's 2 are Herby (this is one we currently have) and Happy.

By for now
