Oh, it's been 2 long
Well I think the day is finally just around the corner. We have all agreed a date for our move. yeeeaahhh.
It has been a long time coming however this is great timing, I think! just b4 Christmas, so that will be nice. As I am typing this I am reminded that it will mean we (Jackie and I) have not spent more than 1 Christmas in each of our houses! anyway I think we shall be in this new house for much longer.
we have been packed for ages, well half packed. but are now getting all the stuff packed, its one of those really frustrating things, what do yo need to leave out for the last morning, what can you do without, how much of this do you need, how many of them????
Jackie will soon have her own blog, we shall have to see who is better at keeping their's updated!! Click here to be taken to her page, then maybe bookmark it!
We are also trying to keep a couple of pages about us both, some details of what were are upto, this can be found at www.redteeps.co.uk. Click on the link and you will be taken there.
Please let us know what you think.
Good night!

...later....
you may remember in the previous post that I mentioned the Zebras! well they are reall quite significant - each mornign during breakfast we had one of the team share a thought for the day. on this day it was Dave's thought. Dave suggested that we all try and think of a Christian song that each begin with a different letter of the alpherbet, we took on the challange.
as you can emagin some letters have loads of songs and others don't seem to have any - like the letter Z - what songs begin with the letter Z let alone Christians songs!! so there were 6 of us sat with nothing to do for the morning but think of 26 songs! agghhh. well we got all the way to y but were stuped on Z - oh no, we can't stop there. so we wrote a new song!
Zebra song
this is a great song which can be used to teach a little of the storie of Noah to young children (and their parents)
it goes something like this....
...Zebras went into the ark, along with the other animals
Zebras went into the ark, along with the other animals
it rained for 40 daya and nights, Noah couldn't see any land in sight...
There is more but I dont think its fare to write - if you want any more then please contact me and I will see if the band can reunite and sing this for you.
anyway - that wally chap - we saw him again the next day. we were driving in pickering during the steam show and heh was there - just standing in the road. he was wearing the same clothes.
I think the local paper was running a compertition to see how many time you could find wally. as we only saw him once I dont think we would have won.
well - I think i will leave it at this for now but hope to post again later.

Where’s Wally?
Jackie and I have just spent a week in Yorkshire with some friends form Church. We all had a fantastic time together and alone. We were staying near a place called Pickering.
Jackie and I spent some time walking around the moors, up and down the hills (of which there are none in Peterborough so we are not used to it!). We decided to go you a zoo and theme park one day, details can be found at www.flamingoland.co.uk.The theme park is great as it boasts both fantastic thrill rides and Wild Animals. We started our Day by going on all the massive rides – some made us feel a bit unwell but the others were great fun and I am glad we did not miss them, even with a 40 min queue for one of them. The first ride Jackie and I went on was a the motorbike ride – this looks like a long line of supper bikes, you sit yourself down and brace your self – the bikes zooooom off reaching speeds of 100Kph in under 3 seconds, WOW that's fast real quick. Standing in the Queue behind us was a lone man – I would say that he was in his late 30's to early 40's; he had a bit of a beard, some binoculars, a cap and a funny dress sense! Both Jackie and I were reminded of the guy called Wally in the well know cartoon stuff called where's Wally (if you don't know of Wally do a Google search – the picture is just what we saw!)
Later in the Zoo we took a look at the animals (well what else do you do in a zoo?) we saw some fantastic animals – some giraffes, Hippos, Zebra (more on them later!!!), Flamingo (would you have guessed that flamingo land had some real flamingo's?), and loads more – It really is great, I would go again!
One of the greatest sights I think wad the Siberian Tiger – It was in a massive cage – we could walk over it but best of all it had a glass wall to one side which meant we could get up close and nearly personal with eh beauty of the Tiger. As we were walking round the glass wall the tiger was there - I think he was trying to stare me out! He was eyeballing me – that is quite an experience.
We also saw the full size our African Spur's will grow to – they are our two new tortoises – BIG.
Well be sure to come back later when there will be some more of our stay up north!

2 in 1 day – how lucky are you!!!
Jackie was –well is at the time of writing this – watching a programme on TV, 'the man who lost himself', a documentary about a man who was in a car accident and lost his memory. This aside – One of the girls (his daughters) was interviewed and said – 'he was the best dad in the world, he would let us get away with murder' – ok, no it's not ok. I have heard so many young people say things like this, she was great, she never told us off... he was a great instructor, he always let us do what we wanted...
This really frustrates me – on one hand they are saying this person is great yet on the other they are saying that this person did not discipline when maybe they should have, that they did not encourage good but supported bad, or that they didn't stand out from the crowed but were in the middle of the scruffs. Now I understand that there is an amount of letting young people or people under your care, leadership or discipleship learn, however we would never get anywhere in our lives or this world if we were not to learn from other peoples mistakes and make them ourselves. We would simply go round and round in circles.
Well, I am now off to study some more, will let you know when the next exam is.
Cy again soon.

Where have I been?
It's been too long. Where have I been! To be honest I not been anywhere...well I have been on a boat – that was ages ago but I'll tell you all about it.
Jackie and I hired a narrow boat out for a few days – it was fantastic. With our normally busy life it was a great change in pace, a nice break and time away from the norm.
Well that was ages ago! Like over a month! I have been really slack. Hey I back now though. So what's been happening with you all? I'm sure I will catch up with some of you. Anyway, work is going really well, we have just increased our staff by 1; we 4 boys now have to behave ourselves as we have lady working with us. I can say it has been great since she started –she has really taken the pressure off us and we are able to do so much more. How great.
Well what else is happening!!! Loads – you may remember that we are selling our house –well it is now sold STC BLA Bla Bla....we are doing contracts and stuff. We have also found a house we are buying, it's really nice. Looking forward to some sort of house warming! Will keep you up to date.
(not tortoise but close enough!!)
So has there been anything else happening?? Not really, but I can say that we have new member of the family soon to be with us... before you all start talking it's not of the human kind! We are getting ourselves another pet – or 3!! We currently have a tortoise which has been really nice, so we are now waiting on our new family members – will get some pics as soon as they arrive so you can all go arrrrhhhhh.....
Oh, the names of my 2 are Frankie and Kermit, Jackie's 2 are Herby (this is one we currently have) and Happy.
By for now

After a long wait
Hiya,
I know for some you regular readers this has been quite a quite time for me, but I am now back. Firstly the reason for my absence is that I have been really busy. I have had my head in the books! Preparing for my exam (more on that later) and Church stuff. It all good. Great fun. I had the pleasure of serving at one of the best courses we host at PCC and as always it was fantastic to see so many lives changed by the power of God.
My Exam, some of you may have ready some time ago that I was to sit an Exam for work, I did the exam but the mark I achieved was too low for a pass. (The exam result is a pass or fail; it is really black and white) I have since taken the exam again, well today in fact, at 13.15 this afternoon I started my exam:
oh how the time seems to drag at the beginning, tick tock..... still 2 hours left – then suddenly wham time coming to an end, 30 minutes, quick go back over the questions not sure of, try to get some extra marks. Ok – eyes going weird after looking at the screen for so long.
I then had the opportunity of giving feedback relating to the exam - no thanks, I just wana get my results and get home...... come on I just want my results....... ok this seems to be dragging... her they come, the screen shows a block of text " thank you for sitting the Micro..... " come on where is the score, I need 700 points – where is it, oh yes, I see...... Yes it's a pass, Fantastic.
I was the only one in the exam room, I was so excited. My hands shot in the air, WOW, I am now an MCP...so what now? It all starts again but with a bigger book and harder questions.
Once again I will keep you all up to speed.
Nite guys.T

Moving House
Well it's been a loge time since I was last blogging!
What has been going down with me? Not much really, well I say not much - LOADS, that's why I have not had the time to Blog.
Jackie, my wife, and I are looking to move. We have been looking at various different houses in different locations in the area but had not be greatly impressed with what was on offer. Then at the end of last week – we saw a really nice house, massive garden (well massive for a house in the city), and 3 beds – what we want. It does have some work to be done, a lick of paint and new carpet but that will be part of making it our house.
As we saw this house we were thinking this is fantastic – just one issue, our house is not on the market – quick! Think! We need to sell our house before we can do anything else – it's not even on the market. Ok so we get the estate agents round to value the house, nice value!!! We get it on the market that afternoon, then just a few hours later – Ring Ring..... Estate agent has a viewing for us – WOW we were blown away, a viewing in less than 2 hours of putting the house on the market.
We have since then had other viewings and some interest.
We decided to take a second viewing of the house we like and after that felt it was right to put in an offer – and it has been accepted. FANTASTIC!!! I could not believe it. The ball seems to be rolling now and this is really exciting time for us.
Well I will keep you all posted with how the house move, hunt, sell, buying and whatever else is involved goes.
I hope to be writing a blog from the new house real soon.
If any of you are interested in Viewing our house or know of anyone then feel free to get in touch and I will provide more details.
Thanks and happy reading

The result!
Some of you regular readers of my Blog may remember me talking about having to sit an exam – well I took the exam on Friday and not to my pleasure I failed it. I needed a total score of 700 and I got 609, I think for my first that is not bad – at least I tried!! – I will be booking the reset for a few weeks from now, and of course I will post the results here.
I don't really have much else to say at the moment but have a great Easter all and see you soon.

An interesting Read!
having been a member of a smaller church and now a big Church I can understand where he (and alot of other people are coming from) when they say that big church is just not family like, however I have ot say that I feel more at home and with my family at the big church than at smaller church.
I think the reason for me finding myself at home is that there is such a large group of people of my age, interests and occupation. My experience of small church was as a kid with no one my age - my sister who was 7 years younger (she still is 7 years younger but the gap seems to be less now we are both older) and my older sister who was older - no one in between.
I can shear any of my feelings with a number of my close friends - I could trust them with big things.
well all these personal feelings aside - here is a question for you all... are you ready? its a tough one! for some.
is 'mega church' wrong?... what I mean by this is do we find that mega church loses things that small church has to offer, or do we find that it has so much more to offer.
does big church take away from the intimacy of Christianity or does it deepen the worship level and broaden the move of the spirit.
I don't think that God will look at us when we get to heaven and say 'sorry mate but you were part of a big church some I will give you more (or less) than him, he was only part of a small church with 25 people'
no - it doesn't matter if we are part of the big church or the small church but how we are within our environment.
I think though that God would be happier with 10 or 10,000 in one church than with no church at all and 100,000 believers wondering around without being a part of others lives.
well if all this has inspired you to come along to a big church then you can find some details about PCC by following this link. http://www.pcc-uk.org

First Exam booked
Well. I am in the middle of studying for an MCSE. I have just finished reading the Microsoft book on 70-270 (Windows XP desktop). It came to the time when I had to book my exam – I can't believe how sick I felt when booking the exam. As it as the first time I booked an exam I had to register my details, name address and the rest of the normal blarb. When I came to choose the exam I felt physically sick.
Now with less than 1 week to go until my exam I feel quite calm – be sure to come back next week to see how I get on.
Well I don't have much else on at the moment so this is it for now...
See you all soon.

We also would not be able to learn from our mistakes let alone the mistakes of the thousands and Thousands and tho.... of men, women and children who have been there and done that (t shirts were not popular then!!) before us.
I know some great people who are passionate about history and could tell you the benefits of it far more than I - Simon is one of these men, he has inspired me and taught me some interesting facts about history.
I was in India with Simon and other friends when I realised how little I know about history - I felt that I was only interested in my life and not in the lives of those who have helped get me to where I am now – Thank you Simon and all those who have directly and indirectly helped the world and i get to where we are.
This subject of history has really hit me this week when I was invited to join a team of guys at a game of paintball – I have played once before and was un harmed – however this experience was quit the opposite.
When we all had our camo gear on and pant ball guns in hand marching from one game to the next I began to think about all the people who have gone to war for their country... for us... for me. I began to get just a slight glimpse of what they experienced.
Now paint ball is quite harmless (if you don’t get hit!!). I got hit – My wife counted 27 on my bum alone – I must have around 100 bruises all over my body – that is from a small ball of paint.
Some of the games we played involved sitting in trenches attacking others, this was not a nice experience, the sound of the balls firing towards you, hitting the shields of the barricades around you, the cries of your team mates going down one by one, Then popping your head out from cover to see a mass of charging men all shooting at you – balls hitting you and you being out for the rest of the game. I was scared, the adrenalin was pumping and my heart was beating the fastest its beaten since the last time it was beating that fast!!
Playing this game of paintball this weekend made me appreciate much more the sacrifice our brothers and sisters, mums and dads, sons and daughters, friends, relatives and the strangers we have heard about on the news and in the movies have mad by going to war for their Country, for me...for You.....
...For us all

Sue - This one is for you!!!
I wasn't planning on writing another post just yet but as I arrived to my Church meeting this morning I was greeted by a great friend. She asked me when I was planning on writing my next post. I told her that I had been thinking about the content but had not really got around to posting it.
well her it is...
I have just seen a really nice picture from what I think is Sues wedding day - Sue you look a real princess and what can I say about hubby - what a prince!!
From August 2001 I spent a year in Malawi, Africa. Working in an orphanage. This was a great time, from then On I really knew that I was meant to spend some time in Malawi other that those 12 months. Before I can go and work for the Lord in Malawi I think I need to be reminded of the national language- Chichawa. My wife, who also shares the passion for the African nation found a reli cool training CD which you simply pop into the PC and repeat what the bloke says on the screen - this is great. If you see me around please ask how it is going and I will try to reply in Chichawa! But do forgive me if I get it all wrong.
During my stay in Malawi I was taught a really cool game called Bao ( this game has loads of different names but this is the one I remember) I Did get quite good at the game even to the extent that I could beat the locals at it.
I was realy impresed to find this game on line the other day after searching for it for an age.
I will continue to play this game so when Jackie and I return to Malawi I would still hope to give the loacls a challange.
well I think this is a good place to end today but I will return soon.
Thanks for reading
Tim
